The Mask

As she had to hide more
The mask got larger
She began to pull away
No one knew how bad
Her world had become
Most didn’t care
They were too busy in theirs
Some didn’t want to know
It was too ugly
Too dirty, too messy
So she retreated more and more
One day no one knew her
Not even her
She was invisible
Just a mask remained
